irritated rantings

I'm only irritated because somehow my conversation with my dad drifted to suggest "Why didn't you let me upgrade? Kwong a national sailor has almost the same problem as I do, and his cardiologist let him upgrade. We're all sports people who have been training for the past 10 years and nothing has happened. "

We've talked about it before and im still equally disgruntled. To be honest I don't think i would have been as disgruntled about the health grading if we hadn't talked about it this evening. I mean in the end the bunch of us who are in PES E will just laugh about it,try to get a good vocation, and gloat about our lack of reservist, but when you think about all your other friends going to do all the normal stuff, its kind of pissing off.

Compound it with a lousy math paper and you get more disgruntled. Could have done the paper a lot better.

My letter says " Please bring along your medication. A refrigerator will be provided for storage of your medicine... Only recreational activities (which are game-based) and static exercises will be conducted."

I would laugh at it, but when I thought about the rest running off to A and B, this position felt rather irritating.

Institution should not and do not define who you are. What if you walk a route that not many of your peers are taking? Will you be denied as patriotic as them? To sing the same tune as the rest of the world will make you fit in better? I beg to differ. Not to go with the flow doesn't mean you are being marginalized as long as you don't do that to yourself. It took me nine months to start realizing the possibility of another reality, one where individuality do not determine by institution and conventional norms. One that able to provide a space for individual to survive without the hegemonic superpower. Be brave. It's not easy but it gives you an opportunity to think other wise, to see another, if not more ways out.

All the best with your exams.
