Cambodia: the trip, company, people and history

i really like this shot

Pause for a moment. I wonder about the severity of visiting and appreciating these places under the name of culture. i really love the historical nature of these places but one thing still remains. they are essentially idols arent they? and remember how severely the old testament records idol worship in israel's neighbours? hmmm..i cant quite figure out my take on them. never quite thought about it that way before.

Places visited:
COSI!
royal palace
genocide museum,killing fields
mekong river cruise
many markets and a strange bridge
Les Artisan D'angkor Center
Tunle Sa Lake (floating village below)
elephant terrace,terrace of leper king,
phimeanakas, Ba Puon temple,
ta prom temple,
ankor wat temples
bakheng hill
cultural dance place

I think tonight will be short considering its already 2.50am and my right hand is very much aching from all the clicking..plus..as madam, or merv would say 'once i start i cant stop.' Theres just so much about cambodia to talk about that i think i should save it for a day where im fully conscious and will do it justice. im not quite done reflecting on the trip either. So much just happened over the 6 days..oh well..here are some photos which i really like. kinda botched up half of the 300 odd with overexposure and all the other techy stuff which i shall not go into..just starting to learn...but here are the few hopefully nice ones, that have been salvaged. i have a feeling my blogs going to lag up.

its a disturbing sign when the song 'i'm your china girl' cannot leave ones mind.

i'm waking up at 11 tomorrow morning.

it was an experience
